How do I connect to the Wi-Fi network? - Faculty & Staff
There are three different Wi-Fi networks at Allen-Stevenson.
| This network is used for school owned/issued devices. |
| This network is used by Allen-Stevenson employees for their personal devices. |
| This network is used by anyone who is NOT an Allen-Stevenson employee or student (ex: guests, parents, speakers). |
Connect to the allenstevenson network
- Click on the Wi-Fi icon (
) in the top menu bar
- Select allenstevenson from the drop down list
If you do not have a Wi-Fi icon in your menu bar, click on the Apple in the top left corner and select System Preferences > Network and choose the Network Name from the corresponding drop down list.
- In the password box enter password and click Join
Don’t worry – this password is not used for security authentication and is not a secret (that’s handled somewhere else). Devices not owned by Allen-Stevenson will not be able to connect to this network even if you tried.
- If you receive a certificate warning asking you to "Trust the Certificate," select Trust/Allow and click Ok
Connect to the allenstevenson byod network
- Click on the Wi-Fi icon (
) in the top menu bar
- Select allenstevenson byod from the drop down list
If you do not have a Wi-Fi icon in your menu bar, click on the Apple in the top left corner and select System Preferences > Network and choose the Network Name from the corresponding drop down list.
- In th username box enter your username (First Initial + Last Name)
- In the password box enter the password that you use for Outlook email and click Join
If you do not remember your email password please contact the helpdesk
- If you receive a certificate warning asking you to "Trust the Certificate," select Trust/Allow and click Ok
Connect to the allenstevenson guest network
Anyone who would like to connect to this network needs to speak with a memeber of the Tech department. This password is changed on a regular basis.
