What do I do if my laptop is damaged or requires repair? - Faculty & Staff

Immediately report any damage or problems with your computer to the Help Desk located in the Library Tech Commons. If it is determined that a repair is necessary, all warranty and minor repairs will be covered by the School. If a computer cannot be repaired immediately, a loaner computer will be issued to use while the computer is being repaired.

If your computer has experienced water damage, please immediately turn off and unplug the computer before bringing it to the Helpdesk. if you are unable to bring the device to the Technology department right away, the computer should remain off and unplugged and should be wiped dry with a cloth and turned upside down to remove as much water as possible. A helpdesk ticket should then be submitted from another device as soon as possible.
