What should I do if I believe I have received spam email? - Faculty & Staff
If you recieve any suspicious emails (those that you think might contain a virus, phishing scam, asking for money, etc.) please report them to the technology department by simply sending the date, time, and subject of the email or send a screen shot of the email to email@example.com. DO NOT forward suspicious emails to firstname.lastname@example.org or to any member of the tech team! Once you've reported the suspicious email, immediately delete the email.
DO NOT click on any links or download any attachments contained within a suspicious email. Phising emails often lead you to a fake "spoof" website in an attempt to steal your private data.
Immediately delete the email after sending the date/time/subject to email@example.com.
